Katherine is a volunteer who bridges the vocabulary and culture of biomedical and biobehavioural research with lived experience as a mother of a patient, and as a patient herself. After 40 years of academic research, she interacts with researchers and trainees during the design and ethics stages of research to identify issues that might inadvertently become exclusionary for broadly inclusive community with connective tissue issues.
